Downeast Adventure 4/3
As recommended by Outside Magazine
With this trip we have time to explore the Great Wass Archipelago and visit Petit Manan, which is home to scads of birds including, at certain times of year, puffins. Our route will have us meandering through parts of the Maine Island Trail while we explore the Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge. We see very few other kayakers here, even at the height of the kayaking season. Joine us for sea kayaking and camping among the islands, wildlife and beauty of Down East Maine. Use our kayaks and paddling gear, or bring your own (subject to our approval). Specific locations vary based on the weather. Minimal instruction provided.
